Frequently Asked Questions
How do your tests work?
You upload your app build (APK/IPA), and our AI-powered robots physically test it on real devices—tapping, swiping, and navigating just like a human. No emulators, no scripts. We record everything and deliver comprehensive test reports.
Do I need to buy any hardware or robots?
No. This is a fully managed Testing-as-a-Service. We own and maintain all robots, devices, and infrastructure. You just upload your app—we handle everything else.
How are you different from manual testing?
We're 10x faster while maintaining the same physical, real-device approach. Our robots test 24/7 without fatigue, run tests on multiple devices simultaneously, and deliver consistent results every time.
How are you different from script-based testing tools like BrowserStack or Appium?
Script-based tools require writing and maintaining code that breaks with UI changes. Our robots physically interact with real devices—no scripts needed. We catch visual bugs, performance issues, and physical interaction problems that scripts miss.
What types of bugs do you catch?
UI/UX issues, crashes, performance problems, broken navigation, visual glitches, gesture failures, orientation bugs, and device compatibility issues. We also catch hardware-specific problems like battery drain, GPS issues, and camera malfunctions that emulators miss.
How do I submit my app build for testing?
Upload your APK/IPA through our web dashboard or integrate with our API for automatic CI/CD submission. Select your target devices, and our robots start testing immediately.
Where do I find my test reports?
Reports are available in your Appiota dashboard immediately after testing. Includes videos, screenshots, crash logs, performance metrics, and bug descriptions. Download as PDF or integrate with Jira and Slack.
How fast are the test results?
Most tests complete in minutes to a few hours. Simple smoke tests finish in under 10 minutes. Our robots test multiple devices in parallel—you'll always get results the same day.
What devices do you support?
50+ real devices including latest iPhones, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, OnePlus, and other popular Android/iOS devices. Multiple OS versions, screen sizes, and manufacturers available.
Can I integrate with my CI/CD pipeline?
Yes. We provide REST API and webhook integrations for Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, and more. Automatically trigger tests on every build and block releases if critical bugs are found.
How does pricing work?
We charge per test action (taps, swipes, inputs), not by time or devices. Plans start at £500/month with 2,000 actions included. Additional actions are £0.20 each. Enterprise plans include volume discounts.
